Twelve steps for staying healthy
Use the following 12 steps for staying healthy and improve your wellbeing.
1. If you smoke, get help to stop
2. Eat five portions of fruit and veg a day.
3. Eat more fibre-rich foods and less salty and fatty food- check food lables before you buy.
4.Eat fish twice a week, making sure that one portion is oily fish.
5. Keep to a healthy weight.
6. Stick to safe limits with alcohol, know how much you are drinking.
7. Stay active, weather its a hobby such as gardening or playing tennis or joining an exercise club
8.Have your blood pressure and cholesterol checked regurary.
9. Make sure your getting enough sleep.
10.Have your eyes tested every two years.
11.Have a seasonal flu jab every year, about October.
12.Accept invertations to attend NHS screening for breast,cervical, and bowel canver.
Keep to these 12 steps and you will feel better, protect yourself from cancer, heart problems, and other viruses and illness. In affect your immune system will be stronger
