The acid-alkaline balance
After reading about how important the Acid-alkaline balance is in your body I came up with a remedy to get balance correct, reducing the risk of any damage to my cells by having too much acid.
Practically every major degenerative disease, including cancer, is triggered by an over acid system. When the ph of your body is out of balance your skin and hair become dull, the nervous system is affected , and you may suffer insomnia, arthritis, aching joints, skin conditions such as candida, fungal infections, muscle pain and gout which are all common symptoms of an over acid system.
Nutritionists and health professionals have long understood the importance to health of the acid-alkaline balance, and keeping the balance is one of the crucial keys of remaining healthy, and also slowing down the ageing process.
Friendly foods are honey, lemon and organic apple cider vinegar. There are others but I picked these three for my remedy. I will add a teaspoon of Manuka honey to hot water to melt the honey. I will then add a slice of lemon, and a tablespoon of organic cider vinegar, and that I will take twice a day between meals.

The secrets of anti-ageing
Here are some health tips I found about anti-ageing that you may found useful.
The life extension foundation offers numerous creams and serums that are based on vitamin C, white tea, pomegranate and so on, which have demonstrated anti-ageing properties See www.lef.org for more information.
Eat more antioxidant rich foods, organic fruit and vegetables, especially red orange or dark green fruits and vegetables, such as pomegranates, papaya, blueberries, carrots, apricots, watercress, pumpkin, broccoli, spring greens, pak choy, red peppers, red and purple berries and tomatoes.
Learn to meditate, for it has many anti-ageing benefits. Regular meditation helps you cope better with stress, by reducing release of highly toxic stress hormones adrenalin and cortisol. It also slows the ageing process.
Potassium chloride is also important in out diet, for removing congestion and fatty deposits in the tissues. You need 50 mg three times per day
Take care of your eyes.
To prevent age-related macular degeneration, cataracts, or vision impairment, eat plenty of yellow and green vegetables every day (spinach, turnip greens, collards, squash, peas, broccoli, pumpkin, and corn). This is key to a long, healthy life because those veggies contain lutein and zeaxanthin. Eggs are a good source of those components, too. For more info, read

A healthy day out
We had a really nice healthy day out today in Chester, we walked for miles, even though I did struggle at times with my breathing, I enjoyed it and I am sure it must have done me good.
On the way around we found the Elderflower which is really lovely at the moment.
The medicinal parts of the plant include the roots, bark, young shoots, leaves, flowers and the preserved or cooked, ripe black berries. Keep in mind that red elderberry seeds are toxic. This is a similar but different plant so make sure you know the difference.
The flowers shown here are effective at reducing phlegm and encouraging sweating. They are also good for hay fever and strengthening the upper respiratory tract. Use an elderberry flower
poultice
to reduce inflammation.

Bronchiectasis update
Just to let you know how I am getting on with my general health. I went to dermatology at the hospital regarding my nails. The consultant told me regarding the clippings they had taken there was no fungal infection. So was there some connection between bronchiectasis and my nail condition, the consultant did not know, and gave me some liquid to paint on to my nails and some oral medication and come back in September.
I wanted to find out firstly if there was a connection, and if so could I treat this condition naturally. So far all I have found is that doses of Vitamin E could help my nails. So if vitamin E helps my nails will it help my bronchiectasis. The problem is if I take vitamin E and my conventional treatment I will not know which is working. Perhaps I should think who cares as long as it works. I will keep you posted!
